Yes I’m Hiking Solo: Self-Defense for the Outdoors (60min + Q&A)
Nicole created Yes I’m Hiking Solo to address the fears that many women have expressed about hiking solo. As an avid solo hiker and adventurer, Nicole offers simple and effective self-defense strategies to encourage and empower women to feel more confident about their ability to manage their personal safety during outdoor activities.
Whether you’re solo or with a group, these skills can help you manage your safety, be aware of your options and feel more powerful wherever the trails or the outdoors takes you! We’ll cover skills like awareness, intuition, body language, boundary setting, verbal strategies and physical skills. This class is interactive via Zoom and participants will be encouraged to turn on their cameras, use their voices and there will be opportunities to practice the physical skills! Dress comfortably and make sure you have room to move.
